Let me tell you about an ordinary eighteen yr old young woman. She was not exceptional by anyone’s standards. She was from the Midwest but lived and went to school in Hawaii. While in her first semester at the University of Hawaii, she became pregnant. At a time that is distressful for any young woman, she was at ease thanks to the love and support of her parents. Her parents were this young womans bra. I am not talking about the actual undergarment, but more the support that it gives to the woman. Now I said all that to say this: that young woman’s name was Stanley Ann Dunham, and the child that she gave birth to was anything but ordinary. His name is Barack Obama, or Mr. President, and he is exceptional by everyone’s standards. Now I am sure that some would argue that this story could have still had the same ending regardless; however, statistics show that women who have support live in poverty and their children continue the cycle. My own experience as a teen mother with a huge bra, support team, has led me to believe that a great deal of what I have obtained is due in part to the people around me. Many would speculate that this was probably the reason why Europeans could easily take control of America. However, many do not know that the Americas also sent along a disease of its own into Europe. This disease was syphilis, which became a rampant venereal disease throughout the fifteenth of Europe which led to the rest of the world, all the way until the discovery of penicillin in the 1940s.
